Performance Options Thermal Line Windows Manufactures Compozit™ ABS/ASA "Super Windows"
Thermal Line Windows of Mandan, North Dakota started manufacturing vinyl
windows in 1984. The company is now manufacturing windows from Compozit™C/G,
a co-extruded high-impact resistant thermoplastic. The ABS or CYCOLAC®
substrate is known for its combination of heat resistance, dimensional
stability, and impact strength. CYCOLAC®resin is used in applications
from truck bumpers to computer housings and bathtubs. The ASA or GELOY®
exterior is a highly weatherable, high impact material and is used in applications
like exterior building products, outdoor furniture, and recreational vehicles.
Compozit™C/G will resist fading and warping and won't rot, corrode, rust,
blister or chalk like other window materials can.
These resins have been used in various manufacturing applications since the
early 1930's, and were introduced to the window industry over ten years ago.
Thermal Line Windows started using Compozit™ C/G in some styles
of windows in 1990, and now offer a complete product line in most architectural
styles and shapes with various glass options including Heat Mirror™.
The windows are available in white, beige, and brown with
light or dark woodgrain interior on the white, beige exterior. This product
has been used extensively in residential new construction, replacement, and
many commercial window applications.
All Thermal Line Windows are independently tested as well as NFRC
and Energy Star® certified and labeled The American Architectural
Manufactures Association [AAMA] has published a new standard for certifying
window lineals. This standard, AAMA 304, is for lineals using ABS capped
with ASA or ASA/PVC blends. This is the first alternative plastic standard
to be approved by AAMA. Thermal Line Windows is proud to be offering
windows that have the obvious advantages provided by engineered thermoplastics. |
